Bangalore, India
Something about Bangalore, India.
Bangalore India is one of the country’s most progressive and liberal cities where fast-food joints, yuppie theme bars and glitzy malls are all the rage. Bangalore India is also referred to as the Garden City, because there are some pleasant parks and gardens, but generally it’s a busy, traffic-clogged city. It is, however, a useful place to arrange trips to Karnataka’s national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. The economic vitality of Bangalore India began in the 1960’s when the government located key defense and telecommunications establishments here. It became the Indian centre of science and technology and many multinationals established their companies here. But today rapid population growth is putting an immense strain on infrastructure and environment.
Bangalora India has two areas of prime interest to travellers: Gandhi
Nagar in the west and the Mahatma Gandhi Road area four kilometres to
the east. The crowded streets of Gandhi Nagar are crammed with shops,
cinemas and budget hotels. The area of Mahatma Gandhi Road is the retail
and entertainment hub, where you can find budget and luxury hotels,
fast-food joints, Internet cafes, bookshops and craft shops.
