Facts about India
Some interesting facts about India.
Political facts about India: India is a constitutional democracy, with 29 states and six union territories. The parliament is bicameral; the Lower House or the Lok Sabha has 545 members and the Upper House or the Raiya Sabha consists of 245 members. More political facts can be found elsewhere on the internet. Climatologic facts about India: India is so vast that the climate of the north has nothing to do with the climate of the south. But generally you can say that India has a three-season year: the hot, the wet and the cool, and the best time to travel is normally between November and February, except in the Himalaya region, which is better before October.
Religious facts about India: Hinduism is India’s major religion and is
practiced by approximately 80 % of the population. Islam is practiced by
approximately 12 % of the Indians and the other religions are Sikhism,
Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, and some
tribal religions. Religion seeps into every facet of Indian life and
that’s very fascinating.
