What you can see on a geographical map of India.

 

 

 When you look at the geographical map of India  you’ll notice that this vast country has an immense natural border  in the north: the Himalayan Mountains. The highest peak in India is the Kanchenjunga, in Sikkim, with an altitude of 8595 m. the geographical map of India also shows the states that are situated in the Himalaya region: Uttar Prades, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim.

Another major region you’ll see on the geographical map of India is the Northern Plain. The two most important rivers in the north are the Ganges (also religiously very important) and the Brahmaputra. South of this Northern Plain is the Deccan Plateau, whioch is borderd by the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats.

One of the larger desserts of Asia is situated in the west of the country: the Great Thar Dessert, in the “Land of  Kings, (the state of Rajasthan) the country is so vast that there are many specific regional climatic conditions.
