Goa, India

Goa has some of the finest beaches of Asia.

Goa, India has a population of 1.3 million and  has an area of 3659 sq km. It is a former Portuguese enclave and still has a very clear Portuguese flavour. It has everything for the foreign tourist and visitor: culture, friendly people, eternal sunshine and beautiful beaches. Goa, India, is very different from the rest of the country.

Since the 1960s Goa (India) has been attracting many tourists. It has some of the most beautiful beaches of Asia. You can rent  hotel rooms near one of these beaches. There is accommodation at Benaulim, Calangate, Colva, Anjuna, Baga, Vagator and Chapra. The city has an international airport (called Dabolim) which is situated 29 km from Panaji (the capital).

Goa, India, is also easily accessible by bus and train. Main train connections are between Mumbai (Bombay) and Mangalore. Two other options are taxi ( 600 km from Mumbai) and catamaran boat. In the city itself you can rent a car, a motorcycle, a bicycle or simply take a bus or a taxi. There is a whole variety of hotels and places to eat.
