India Culture

India Culture is very unique.

For people travelling to India, the culture is a real feast because of the many varieties throughout the country. Indian art is mostly religious, and if you want to appreciate it fully, it’s recommended to learn some of the country’s faiths. Some other India culture elements you can’t miss: classical Indian dance, temple architecture, sculpture, miniature painting, music and film.

The India culture of food is known all over the world. In the south they eat more rice, more vegetarian food and hot curries. In the north they eat more grains and bread, more meat, more spices and less chilli. But wherever you go at meal time, you will be enveloped in a waft of exotic aromas that will make your mouth water.

Religion seeps into every facet of Indian life, also in India culture. The major religion is Hinduism, and is practised by approximately 80% of the population. It’s the largest religion in Asia and one of the oldest of the world. Other religions practised in India are: Buddhism, Jainism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Judaism, Zoroastrianism and tribal religions.
