About India's food.

India food is unique and absolutely delicious. Again, every region has its own specific cuisine. In the south of the country the emphasis lies on rice dishes, while in the north rice and chapattis are used in India food. To many Indians Basmati rice is the best. In the south delicious Dosas are made. These are thin pancakes made from rice and lentil flour. When stuffed they are called Masala Dosa.

Another delicacy from the south is Idli, a rice dumpling, which is often eaten as breakfast. Curries are eaten all over the country, again with regional differences and accents. India food has an endless variety of dishes. For example, Kofta is a dish which consists of cheese (“Paneer”) balls in a cream (and vegetable, sometimes tomato) sauce.

Indians almost daily eat “Dhal” (lentils). There are dozens of types of dhals and they’re all used in India food. Don’t forget to taste some of the dessert and sweets: Kulfi, Ras Malai, Ras Gulla, Gulaab Jamuns, Jalebis, Ladu, Barfi, Sandesh are just a few of them. Very sweet and very delicious!
