India  Holidays

Exciting India holidays.

Many foreigners travel to India to spend their holidays there. It is an ancient country with an endless variety of beautiful places and exciting experiences. India holidays start with the preparation of the trip. It is always very rewarding to read something about the nation’s history, geography, religion and culture.

On your India holiday you’ll meet many different races and languages. The peoples of Sikkim, for example, couldn’t be more different from those in the southern state of Kerala.. The country has 18 official languages, but there are hundreds of minor languages and dialects. Some of the main languages are Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali and Malayalam.

You don’t have to worry about all these languages though. You’ll be able to speak English on your India holiday as many Indians speak (some) English. In fact, when a Hindi speaking person from the north meets a Tamil speaking southerner, they’ll probably communicate in English.
