Actually the country sells more of them tan the “carpet nation” Iran. And the quality is comparable . One of the areas where you can buy them is Kashmir. In Kashmir they’re generally of wool, wool with silk or even pure silk. Pure silk ones are very expensive! Other places where you can buy India rugs are Mirzapur and Badhoi in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and Eluru and Warangal in Andhra Pradesh state.
